Ring Joint Gasket
RTJ gaskets are designed to seal by "initial line contact" or wedging action between the mating flange and the gasket. Usually used in oil, petroleum and chemical process fields. Precision machined, metallic sealing rings suitable for high pressure and high temperature applications.
Description

GINSEAL   RTJs  are  manufactured  in  accordance  with  API- 6A  and  ASME
B16.20  specifications  and  come  in  four  basic  profiles:   R   oval ,  R 
octagonal, RX, and BX
 
Type R   ( oval/ octagonal ) 

Item No. : JSG - RJR1 / JSG- RJR2
R  Style is available in both oval and octagonal configurations, the octagonal type is recommended in higher sealing efficiency, both types are  interchangeable on modern  octagonal  type  grooved  flanges. However,only the oval cross section can be used in the old type round bottom groove. 
 
Type RX

RX is a pressure- energized adaptation of  the standard  Style R gasket.
The modified design uses a pressure - energized  effect  that  improves
the efficiency of  the seal as  the internal pressure of  the system increases. 
 
Type BX 

Item No. : JSG - RJ BX  
BX  pressure  energized  gaskets  are  manufactured  in  accordance  with
API  6A  and  are designed  for  use  on  pressurized  systems  up  to  20,000
PSI. on both the inner and outer diameters. All BX gaskets incorporate a
pressure  balance  hole  to  ensure  equalization  of  pressure  that  may  be
trapped in the grooves.
